THE DMV OFTEN GIVES BAD ADVICE!!!
We can help you get your license back.
The North Carolina DMV can suspend your driver's license for many reasons.
For example, many drivers get a traffic ticket and forget to go to court. About 20 days after missing court, the North Carolina DMV sends the driver a letter stating that the DMV will suspend the driver's license in two months unless the original ticket is resolved at court. If the driver does not resolve the ticket, the DMV will suspend their license.
When the driver is stopped more than two months later for a second traffic violation, the officer's computer will show that the driver's license is suspended. The officer can arrest the driver and take him to jail for Driving While License Revoked.
When the driver calls the DMV for assistance, the DMV will tell the driver to pay off the two tickets at the courthouse. The driver pays the two tickets, gets a new driver's license, and then get's a letter from the DMV suspending the driver's license for one year. The DMV must suspend the driver's license for one year if the driver pleads guilty to any moving violation committed at a time when the driver's license suspended.
