Expungement, Expunction and Sealing Records

Each person may have a single set of criminal charges erased or expunged from their criminal record. The court defines a set of charges as those occurring within a 12 month period. To be eligible, the charges must have been resolved by a dismissal or by a finding of not guilty. Also, the applicant may not be a convicted felon.

Other rules apply to crimes committed while the applicant was under the age of 18.  If you were less than 18 years old on the offense date, please call us to evaluate your situation.

For non-violent felony convictions more that 15 years old, the court may consider expungement.  The eligibility rules for the expungement are complicated.
